This page is for you to ask questions. Anyone can answer them!

I did not take down that part because I was looking for my pencil.
Are we supposed to think of the gift during the holidays or make them?
And for the scrapbook are we supposed to do it during the March holidays?
Are we supposed to research on Tianjin and Beijing during the March holidays as well?
-Claudia

For the scrapbook, yes, I think we are supposed to do it during the March hols(Just talk about yourself).

I don't think we need to research for Tianjin and Beijing because why must you do that? Isn't it that those children from China are supposed to tell us about that?

And as for the gift, I don't really know about that. How are we supposed to make one anyway?

~Ryan

I thought we're supposed to research on Tainjin and Beijing to know more about the place when we go there? Well, for the gift, I think we're just going to have to handmake one. And for the scrapbook, must we use a scrapbook as I don't think I can fill up a whole scrapbook with things only about myself.
-Qiwen

I agree. How many pages are there in a scrapbook (about)?
The only time I have used a scrapbook was when I was Primary 2 and I cannot really remember how it looks like, just that it has many colours.
Maybe you can include something about your school, your friends, your interests and your hobbies.
Do you all have any ideas about the handmade gift? The only handmade gift I can think of is a card
@Qiwen Is that 'Tainjin' a typo error? Because you also put it this way in the email.
~Claudia

Okay, I think that you have to use a scrapbook as if not, how are you going to talk about yourself? A scrapbook is the only way to. Plus, it is quite easy to find. Just go to Popular. About the handmade gift, I agree with Claudia about the suggestion. A card is like the only thing you can make.
~Ryan

Huh? i thought the scrapbook thingy they havent decided yet?
~charmaine:)

Charmaine, what do you mean by that? You mean that we do not need to do it yet?
~Ryan

I have already bought the scrapbook yesterday from popular. $2.25. Cover page is orange (the only one left)
13 pieces of paper (or maybe it is not considered paper) excluding the front cover and back cover.
It also has the words 'Scrap Book' in front, so it is a scrapbook, anyway.
I have just thought of something. You do not have to make a card. If you are real good at craft.
My friend, for example, can take the strap of her bag and make it into a rose. Cool right?
~Claudia

Good for you, Claudia. But do you count 13 pages as many or a few? Is it easy to write aboout yourself?
~Ryan

yah i tot they have not decided on wat they are going to do.well, i dont know....
~Charmaine

I don't think I am able to fill it all up, the 26 pages (13 pieces of paper mah)
Or maybe...I can just write on 13 pages...Or I can play with font...Or add BIG pictures...but still write big...
Or think of more things to write about...there are many things around me...my table is definitely very messy, maybe I can write about that...maybe not...
Maybe I will elaborate more on each subject, so that there is more to write on and it can go on to the next page...e.g. Give examples and reasons...
Any other ideas of how I may be able to fill it up?
~Claudia

Yes, lots, Claudia!
1) School life (Do you like school? Why do you enjoy it or hate it?)
2) Family (Do you have an extended family?)
3) Free time (What do you do in your free time? Why do you think that it is fun?)
4) Daily life (Which days are your worst and best days? Why? Is it because you have CCAs or lots of tuitions while on your best day you are totally free?)
5)Occasion (Which occasion are you lookin forward to? Why? e.g your birthday, Christmas, Halloween etc.)
6) Pets (Do you have any pets? Describe them. e.gfun to play with, relieves my stress etc.)
7) Tianjin Trip (Why do you want to get into the Tianjin Trip?)
8) Others (What are other things that you like or hate? Why do you like or hate them?)
9) Home (What type of house do you live in? Do you like it? Why?)
AND FINALLY...
10) The end. Tell your Nankai buddy that you are very happy to meet him,and that you think you will have a great time with him. Or something like that.
~Ryan

And you have to introduce yourself as well...(Hi! I am .......................)
And your friends (That I have pretty much to talk about because I lost alot of friends when I came to Rosyth but I have already made alot of friends)
And your favourite subject (give examples of questions) Talk more about school (how you have to climb at least 6 storeys everyday)
About what Rosyth has that is different from many other schools (though you may not be able to compare but I can compare-with one school)well, something that is special about Rosyth
And talk more about your hobbies (cos what you do in your freetime is different from hobbies)
e.g. you can't go all the way to the swimming complex once you have freetime unless you live in a condo or something but you still have to change into swimming costumes.
And something special about yourself (what about you is different from other people)
~Claudia (P.S. The 'may' is underlined and bolded because you may be able or unable to compare)

Are you supposed to write it out in Chinese or English?
~Qiwen

most probably chinese....
~Charmaine

Of course chinese! But of course it is difficult to write in chinese here so I wrote in english instead.
Anyway, all of those ideas up there were just to help you in case you do not have enough ideas...
You do not have to print them out and stick them on your scrapbook.
~Claudia

Why not you just draw some comics or something (as well as words of course)? Sorry for the long time that i didn't write 'cos i was busy with tennis and stuff like that. can anyone tell me whether the scrapbook is A4 size? For my gift, i might be folding a few paper planes for my buddy. What do you think? And I don't think i can do a powerpoint myself so i will add some of my ideas to yours. Is that okay with you? Is there a meeting on thursday as well?
~Justin

Yeah, I think you have to. I asked Mrs Ng. (Not the principal)
~Qiwen

What do you mean by i think you have to? to what? I don't think there's a meeting as no consent form.
~Justin

Everyone! This is an important reminder. THE GIFT IS THE SCRAPBOOK!!! You do NOT need to do all those stuff anymore. I have already checked with Mrs Ng(not the principal). She did say that. And as for Justin, have you received the consent form? I have it! If you don't, you have to meet at the Le Yi Xuan from 1.30 to 3.30 every Thursday except Week 7 and 8 of Term 2 as we will have our orals(I also checked with a teacher). Lastly, please remember to bring your thumbdrives with your powerpoints as we need to edit them on Thursday.
~Ryan

its okay i got it i wrote the question as at that time i had not received it yet. and the slides that i added on to your powerpoint has disappeared. do you have it?
~Justin

We are so lucky...do not have to think about what to do for the gift. After I have finished pasting all the things (which I haven't), I will have left 5 pieces of paper (10 pages). I intent to tear away 3 pieces of paper so I need more ideas that can use up 4 pages. (Some of the ideas that Ryan suggested, I could not type something up)
~Claudia

Oh. I haven't even started, as I need to finish my draft first. By the way, Justin, have you bought your scrapbook yet?
~Ryan

Yup, today (just now)
~Justin

Fine. (Just updating this page as no one types here anymore...)...............
~Claudia

Me too... LALALALALALA....
Because in Unstressland
Unstressland
Our town is flooded with stress balls
Because it Unstressland
Unstressland
You find chickens
To play with
~Ryan

Now let me modify this song!
Because in Stresslessland, Stresslessland,
Nobody is stressed at all
Because in Stresslessland, Stresslessland,
You sing this song, as the anthem!
~Claudia

How about this?
Because in Hotmailland
Hoitmailland
The mails that are sent are very hot
Because in Hotmailland
Hotmailland
Your mailbox will soon be boiling
~Ryan

Haha! This one is funny and it makes sense!
'You find chickens to play with' was seriously weird.
Let's all try to modify the chorus of the Singapore Song.
Because in Yahooland, Yahooland,
You'll say 'Yahoo' when you get mail
Because in Yahooland, Yahooland,
The mails that you get are so yahoo!
I know, I know, the last line doesn't make sense at all.
~Claudia

HAHA! I had a great laugh reading these songs. They are really funny! Sorry, I can't think of any song so please create more songs!
~Charmaine

Uhh, Claudia, when you said "This is one is funny and it makes sense!", was that compliment for me or for yourself?
~Ryan

That was for you lah. I was saying that it was funny and made sense...cos if it was for me, I would not have put in the third line.
~Claudia

Thanks for the compliment!
~Ryan
Because in Forestland
Forestland
They're so many plants that you'll get sick of green
Because in Forestland
Forestland
If a fire starts then say your will
~Ryan

Um, I think you should put:
There're so many plants that you're sick of green so that it sounds right.
Maybe you could give me some topics cos I do not have any idea about a topic.
Because in flowerland, flowerland,
There're petals on the floor e'vryday
Because in flowerland, flowerland,
They wither when autumn ends
By the way I just realised that you (Ryan) come online in the afternoon while I come online at night.
~Claudia

Yup, that's true. Why didn't I think of that?
Because in Chinaland
Chinaland
The only thing we drink is hot tea
Because in Chinaland
Chinaland
Our eyes so slim
That you'll beat us in "I Spy"
~Ryan

That doesn't sound right!
They have to have the same syllabus to sound right!
Maybe:
Because in Chinaland, Chinaland,
The only thing we drink is hot tea
Because in Chinaland, Chinaland,
Our eyes so slim, you'll win in 'I Spy'
That's the best I can go.
Because in Chinatown, Chinatown,
We played games and sang a song
Because in Chinatown, Chinatown,
The song tells us of yesterday
~Claudia

Haha....Both of you are making this page(actually every page) a chat box!
~Charmaine'

If that bad or what? If it is bad, then opps.
~Ryan

Haha! I like your songs! Seriously? You guys are turning almost every page into j*! No, It's not a bad word. I just don't want you guys to get offended, though you will have probably figured out the word by now.
~Qiwen

Kind of obvious, that word is jk.
~Claudia

What's so bad about that word? Didn't you put that word in the home page anyway, Qiwen? Just to confirm, is the second letter "U" and the third one "N"? If it is, I seriously don't know what's so bad about it.
~Ryan

Maybe you should have put ju*k. Anyway, I agree that the word is not bad. It is just to show excitement...and there's nothing else to say anyway...
~Claudia

This is boring. Yeah. Actually now, as I think about it, I wish that there is school on Monday 9 May cause I really got nothing to do at home and I just have to do all that assessments...
~Ryan

Ha. I watched tv the first part of the day, then I was online till...I don't know. To do some revision (thru asknlearn and powerpoint and wikispace) and to check my email and to update this wikispace.
~Claudia

The whole day I was at home, at first reading my book, then checking email, then wikispace, then watching TV, then stopped and did nothing for a while. Then I was so bored that I went to bother my brother, which is something he doesn't like cause he wants to do his stuff.
~Ryan

What do you mean 'bother your brother'? How? My brother does disturb me, but I usually shut myself in the room when I need to do real work...
~Claudia (P.S. Hey something is wrong with the words up there (They were bolded and some *s disappeared (sorry, I don't know how to spell...)))

I mean by asking him what I should do and are you free and throw pillows gently. And what word is that? Here are some suggestions:

1) Give me the pronounciation of the word.
2) Film yourself saying the word on camera and upload it here.
~Ryan (you forgot to put the name)

The word is the name of this thing: *
Asteris (pronounciation)
~Claudia

BTW, it's not 'asteris' it's 'asterisk'! AIYOOOO
~Ryan's brother thru his account [yes this is true!]

??? Anyway, I said that it is the pronounciation, not how you spell it!
~Claudia

Okay, then learn how to spell the word.
~Ryan (this is really me!)

So, that's the spelling? *asterisk*?
~Claudia (Anyway I was just missing a 'k')

Yes.
~Ryan

~Claudia

~Ryan (mine has 1 more dot than yours)

Did you actually count how many I put? If yes, tell me how many.
If not, maybe you copied mine and just added one more.
~Claudia
